CURRICULUM VITAE

 

Rosana M. Cervini was born in 1966 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is an English/Spanish certified translator with over 15 years' practice in business law, finance and litigation.

 

She started her career in 1989 as bilingual proof-reader in the Buenos Aires office of one of the Big Six auditing firms, then worked for three years as in-house legal translator in an international law firm, and became a free-lance translator in 1993, first in partnership with another colleague and later as a solo practitioner.

 

Since then, she has been retained by large-scale law firms and corporations for major translation projects in Argentina, including the privatization of the electricity system and the national mortgage bank, significant mergers and acquisitions in the manufacturing, finance and banking industries following the deregulation of the economy in the nineties, government and corporate bond issues, and major legal disputes involving foreign-capital companies.

 

More recently, she has also been recurrently called upon for translating all the disclosure material relating to workouts of financially distressed corporations.
